Since 1954, Holy Trinity has faithfully followed Jesus’s example, caring for and sharing with others. We invite you and your guests to take part in these and other projects that offer profound hope in our community and the world. Membership in Holy Trinity is not required for you to participate in these important ministries.
For more information about these ministries, contact the church office.
Every time there is a 5th Sunday of the month we engage in activities and projects that benefit various groups in our community such as cleaning up parks, assembling hygiene kits for the homeless, and packaging food for the local food bank.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat is a well-known organization that has been providing families with low cost homes for over 30 years. Each year Holy Trinity joins forces with a group of other churches, forming a Lutheran coalition that provides funding and workers to build a house for a deserving family.
I-HELP (Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program)
Holy Trinity partners with other faith communities in Chandler to provide safe lodging and a meal for the homeless in our community.
On the first Sunday of each month, Holy Trinity collects non-perishable foods to be donated to Chandler CARE. This food is then distributed to our neighbors in need of a little extra help.
I Can Help
We help senior and disabled members of our community live independently by doing chores and other light house and yard work.
The last Sunday in July we celebrate Christmas, but instead of buying gifts for each other, we donate to local and global organizations.
A highlight of Holy Trinity’s Advent season is the Angel Tree, an opportunity to share Christmas joy by giving gifts to those who need them most.
When a person is sick or homebound and in need of a reminder that they are wrapped in the love of God, a group of HTLC members and friends makes a Prayer Shawl – usually knitted or crocheted – infused with the grace of prayer and gives it to the person as a sign of our care. Anyone who wants to make Prayer Shawls is invited to offer their talents. Or, if you have someone who could use the gift of a Prayer Shawl, let us know.
Our dedicated group of quilters cuts and sews, ties and folds, to create blankets that are donated locally and globally wherever people are in need of a little extra warmth.
Benefiting the people of Sapele, Nigeria, Mission Africa provides textbooks for school aged children and funds to build wells and toilets. Holy Trinity regularly lifts up this mission and commits dollars and prayers.
Hidden Treasures Thrift Store
We encourage donations of gently used items to Hidden Treasures Thrift Store. The volunteers there then turn those donations into dollars that are used to fund ministries in the community.
Paper and Textile recycling
Bring your recyclable paper plus all kinds of textile material (old clothing, draperies, bed sheets, shoes, etc.) and place them in the marked bins located on our campus. Funds raised from the repurposing of these materials help fund youth activities.
