Fifth Sunday of Giving: Donation Drive, Veterans with Dementia
Every time there's a fifth Sunday in a month, we create a donation drive to help other organizations achieve their mission. For the entire month of November we're collecting items for Veterans navigating cognitive decline/dementia. We're collecting items from November 2nd until November 30th.
Items needed include:
Journals
Adult coloring books tailored for those with cognitive decline
Fidgets
Coloring pencils
Fidget arm bracelets
Weighted animals or blankets
All are invited to join our musical community! Both the handbells and choir rehearse on Tuesday evenings. The Handbells rehearse from 6pm to 7:15pm and the Choir rehearses from 7:15pm to 8:30pm. Learn more at www.htlutheran.com/music
Topic: Estrangement and what it looks like
TheALEogy provides an opportunity for church members and friends to gather weekly at a restaurant to openly and safely discuss how faith intersects with current world topics and personal interest areas. We gather every Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Mimi's Cafe off the Loop 101 and Chandler Blvd. Topics are thoughtfully suggested by attendees and discussed in the spirit of fellowship and respect.
If there's a certain topic you'd like the Pastor's perspective on, email us for future consideration.
Every Monday at 8am join us via Zoom for Fall Book Club. We're currently discussing, The Tears of Things.
You can listen to a conversation with the author and others about each chapter in this book by tuning into season four of the Apple podcast titled, Everything Belongs: Living the Teachings of Richard Rohr Forward.
Contact the church office for an email with the Zoom link.
