Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover them, and not to hide yourself from your own kin?
-Isaiah 58:7
Homeless Advocacy Team (HAT)
Holy Trinity partners with AZCEND to welcome guests who are enrolled in the Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program (I-HELP) to provide a safe place to sleep and a hot meal for adults experiencing homelessness in our community. AZCEND’s model remains the only shelter placement for adults experiencing homelessness in the Chandler/Gilbert area.
Imagine a program that empowers homeless clients to choose a pathway best suited for their personal needs that ultimately helps bridge the gap from experiencing homelessness to affordable housing. Holy Trinity and our partner, AZCEND, has done just that! Effective January 01, 2024, the Hope & Opportunity Pilot Program was implemented. An intentional platform resulting from the prayerful extension of generous contributions that is funding the new Hope and Opportunity Pilot Program. A realistic approach designed to bridge the gap transitioning from homelessness to an affordable place to call home.
