People who love music will find many places to enjoy and share it at Holy Trinity. Our music program encompasses vocal, instrumental and handbell ensembles. We welcome musicians of all skill levels! Whether you are a new instrumentalist, just starting out in the school band or orchestra, or a long-time musician wanting to become part of a group and play (or sing!) music, there’s a place for YOU! These are just some of our opportunities…
Instrumentalists have multiple opportunities to play during hymns and in anthems with our Sanctuary Choir, Handbell Choir, or in our Jazz Action Combo JAC.
Vocalists can join the choir or present a song as a soloist or ensemble member. The options are numerous!
High School Singers can now join ranks with our Sanctuary Choir to lead worship in anthems, hymns, and solos! The Holy Trinity Choral Internship Program offers paid positions for high school students who have sung or will sing in Regionals or All-State choirs.
Rehearsals: Tuesdays 7:00-8:30PM
Our Sanctuary Choir is open to people high school age and older. The choir’s repertoire covers a broad spectrum—from classical to jazz, ancient to contemporary—often presenting anthems with the Handbell Choir and our Brass Ensemble, as well as with a variety of musicians (percussionists, woodwind, and string players).
Rehearsals: Tuesdays 6:00-6:45 PM OR Wednesdays 6:00-6:45 PM (contact Charles to give him your preference) February-March
Offering kids an inside look into Lutheran music and its connection to worship and theology, Kid’s Ring and Sing! presents children aged 7-11 an opportunity to learn how to play handbells and choir chimes and sing in a choir. Exceptions on age eligibility can be made depending on maturity and experience!
Rehearsals: Wednesdays 7:00-8:30PM (7:45-9:00PM during Lent)
This five-octave choir leads worship approximately every three weeks. Young and old, both experienced and first-time ringers are welcome!
Our Praise Band adds spiritually uplifting popular Christian music to our services on an occasional basis. We incorporate vocals, keyboard, drums, bass, and solo instruments like tenor sax and flute.
JAC formed in late 2017 to offer jazz styled versions of Christmas tunes to events in the community. We have expanded to include standard jazz tunes and reworked hymns. Our combo currently includes tenor sax, piano and drums.
